Wanda's Tukey En Mole Poblano Recipe
Ingredients:
8 To 12 Turkey pieces
Vegetable oil 2 cup Pear-shaped tomatoes 3/4 cup Green pepper, chopped 2 cl Garlic, minced 2 tsp Salt 2 tsp Sesame seeds 1 1/2 tsp Chili powder 1 1/2 tbsp Light Karo syrup 1/4 cup Unsweeted cocoa 1/4 cup Brown sugar 1/4 cup Chopped almonds 1/4 cup Raisins 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp Fresh ground black pepper 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper pinch Ground cloves 1 Bay leaf
Instructions:
Heat a shallow layer of oil in a very large skillet, or use two skillets. Brown turkey in oil on both sides, then add water to cover and simmer 30 minutes. While turkey is cooking, make the sauce by placing all remaining ingredients (except bay leaf) in a blender and processing until smooth. When turkey is done, drain broth and add one and one-half cups of broth to sauce. Blend over turkey in skillet, add bay leaf, and cook on low heat for 35 more minutes. Serve with rice.
