Roasted Onion Dip (2.5 Pts) Recipe




Ingredients:

6 medium oven-roasted yellow onions, cooled, peeled and
chopped fine
6 slice cooked lean bacon, turkey bacon works
well, chopped (if you are
using regular bacon - get a center
and trim all the visible fat)
2 cup fat-free sour cream
2 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp celery salt
3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Ground black pepper and salt to tas


Instructions:

Add all of the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl, and stir together until
combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Serve immediately, or chill.

NOTES : Roasting the onions is what gives this dip it's phenomenal flavor.
As you
may know, I am hosting an appetizer get together this holiday season, so
I've slowly been trying different things that I am going to be including on
the menu - THIS is definitely going to make it to the table! I think my
favorite way to serve it is on chunks of fresh soft French bread, though it
WAS good on Melba rounds... It's also great with fresh veggie sticks to dip
in, but the bread... Ah, the bread was my favorite!
