Mock Chow Mein Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup uncooked rice 2 cup water 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 1 cup skim milk 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 cup chow mein noodles
Instructions:
In a large skillet begin to brown ground turkey and onion. After several minutes add the celery, mushrooms, water and soy sauce. Cover pan tightly, lower heat, and cook for 5 minutes. Mix in rice and skim milk. Bake in covered casserole for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from oven, uncover and sprinkle chow mein noodles on top. Return to oven uncovered for a few minutes. Serve hot. This recipe yields 6 servings.
