Mediterranean Bow Ties With Turkey Sausage Recipe
Ingredients:
8 oz Bow Ties or Rigatoni -OR other medium pasta -shape, uncooked 1 tbsp Vegetable or olive oil 1 lb Italian turkey sausage 1 medium Onion, chopped 1 Garlic clove, minced 6 oz Tomato paste 6 oz Water 1 tbsp Dry mustard 1/4 tsp Freshly ground pepper 1 tsp Dried oregano 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 Cinnamon stick (optional) 1 tbsp Lemon juice 1/2 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
Instructions:
Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
In a large skillet, saute turkey sausage, onion and garlic in oil for approximately 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients, except the pasta and feta cheese. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Add pasta and mix well. Spoon into serving bowl and sprinkle with feta cheese.
Each serving provides: 502 Calories; 28.4 g Protein; 51.8 g Carbohydrates; 20.9 g Fat; 79.5 mg Cholesterol; 936 mg Sodium. Calories from Fat: 37%
